More visibility for traditional insurers

A laptop stands on a desk. A section of the "Basler Corporate Website" can be seen on its screen. A woman is drinking a coffee. In the upper section is the Basler logo in the dark blue corporate colors. In the middle of the picture with the woman is the headline "Private liability insurance". In the lower section of the image is a dark blue box in which users can calculate their premium.

Initial situation
Baloise (formerly Basler) is an independent European insurance group. As part of a comprehensive relaunch of the German website, the aim was to increase online visibility and the conversion rate of website visitors. The technical basis for the relaunch was developed by IBM subsidiary Aperto. mediaman built on this preliminary work.
Analysis and task

UX and SEO according to German market standards

Our task was to optimize the information architecture and develop product pages that meet the requirements of the German market in terms of user experience (UX) and search engine optimization (SEO) as well as the online style guide. In addition, new modules were specified for the Magnolia content management system (CMS).

Result

The new online presence of Basler Versicherungen in Germany went online as planned on April 15, 2020. All 300 or so pages were SEO-optimized and responsively implemented by mediaman and could thus be efficiently integrated into Basler's campaigns. This supported the key objectives of the relaunch: greater online visibility for the brand and a higher conversion rate for site visitors. The UX improved by mediaman also contributed to this.
